A useful forklift inquiry starts with your load and the space in which the machine will work.
1. Define the load and lift height
Record the heaviest load, pallet dimensions and the highest storage level. Tell the supplier about unusually long or uneven loads so the load centre can be considered.
2. Measure the working environment
Check aisle width, door height, floor condition and gradients. Include whether work is indoors, outdoors or both and how long each shift lasts.
3. Confirm the configuration in writing
Ask for the agreed mast, fork dimensions, power configuration and machine dimensions in the quotation. Review the model documents before ordering.
